Tourist information
These are some tips and discoveries that we (and our guests) made, that can help you plan an optimal holiday experience in the beautiful region of Algarve. Of course, the entire region is breathtakingly beautiful and these are only recommendations that make our hearts beat faster, but do your own (further) research!
Carvoeiro (Hike & Bite tip!)
In Carvoeiro, you'll find a variety of charming restaurants where you can enjoy delicious local dishes. Be sure to try the fresh seafood and traditional Portuguese specialties. Besides the culinary adventure, the hikes along the impressive rock formations are a must. The scenic trails offer breathtaking views of the area and are perfect for both experienced hikers and families.
Lagos
A large section of the city wall still stands around Lagos's old town. It's an imposing structure built on the remains of an older city wall. For years, the wall protected Lagos from pirates and other villains.
You can climb the city walls, which is highly recommended for the magnificent views. Not only of the city, but also of the sea and the mountainous interior.
Tip : The section of the city wall along Avenida dos Descobrimentos is one of the most beautiful. There you'll also find the Castelo dos Governadores. Although the castle is now named after its function as a governor's residence, it was originally built by the Moors. Also, be sure to visit after dark, when it's beautifully lit.
You can also, of course, wander around the historic center of Lagos; if you had to sum up the atmosphere in Lagos in one word, it would be relaxed .
Praia da Marinha and other beaches
Praia de Marinha is considered the most beautiful beach/bay in the entire Algarve and is the closest beach to our resort! It's an absolute must-see spot, where you can also take a breathtaking hike along the rocky coastline.

Silves & Sao Bartolomeu de Messines
Silves and São Bartolomeu de Messines are beautiful towns in the Algarve, Portugal. Silves is known for its many stork nests, rich history, and impressive castle, while São Bartolomeu de Messines is a charming village offering an authentic Portuguese atmosphere. For a delicious dining experience, sample local dishes such as Cataplana or the traditional Pasteis de Nata. For tourist activities, there are beautiful hiking trails in the area and opportunities to explore the local markets.
